No one can resist falling in love with a piece from a limited edition collection. On the 10th of April this year, Blankets & Wine held a major show at the Ngong Racecourse in Nairobi. There were amazing music performances from Just A Band, Muthoni the Drummer Queen, Mayonde and from world renowned soul artist; Aloe Blacc! For the very first time, fashion and art installations were also available at the Blankets & Wine event, of which we were a part of.
‘KALON’ is an ancient Greek concept which refers to the ideal of physical and moral beauty. The limited edition collection is indeed a beautiful and all-rounded one which includes rings, bracelets, neck pieces and beautiful, luxurious kiondos (African sisal baskets)
The most popular pieces were the K-DAYO rings and K-YAA bracelets which were our best sellers for the day. The launch was a great success thanks to you, our friends and fans who turned out in great numbers to offer support.
Our pop up tent had people streaming in from 11a.m till late evening wanting to be the first to lay hands on the new merchandise. It was a day filled with much fun, great interaction and of course anyone who left our tent left a happy and content buyer.
Our limited edition collection pieces are now available for purchase on the website and at our Kiambu showroom and Village Market store.
