Finding Beauty – Markets

In Dama’s shop

I love markets. That’s where I get some inspiration for new fashion. I go to Safety Lodge in (Nairobi) town, indoor ‘hotel’ market in town and Kariokor Market to get my supplies. Here are some pictures from my visit to Safety Lodge a couple of weeks ago. The most friendly bunch of traders ever. They are from Gabon in West African but they sell African goods from all over. It is a dangerous place for my wallet as I get totally carried away(chuckles) but I’ve got to source for supplies just like any other designer!

Hassan and his collection

From all these supplies that I gather, these are the materials that make my accessories – Jewellery and Bags.
