On Adèle’s recent trip to Rwanda, she visited fellow Design Network Africa member, Janet at Gahaya Links, a for-profit Rwandan handicraft company.

Their products are made using traditional, authentic Rwandan patterns and their high quality ensures a sustainable market for the Gahaya Links weavers. These crafts include woven baskets, home décor, jewellery and textiles. The company’s success is based on traditional weaving techniques to empower the women of Rwanda and the country’s socioeconomic development.

We love the combination geometric patterns and organic shapes on these baskets.

Find out more about Gahaya Links on their website.
