Jacaranda Beauty Giveaway Winner

Hello friends and fans!

It’s been an interesting past couple of days running our Giveaway competition. Jacaranda season is our favourite season of the year simply because of the colour, pomp and beauty these trees bring. There’s been so much talk about eco-friendly fashion, biodegradable, and ethical fashion lately. We wanted something special in this respect. Tree is symbolic. It is an icon for biodegradable. Jacaranda tree is even special in this regard.

For a long time we contemplated on having a giveaway competition but weren’t too sure what we would base it on. When Jacaranda season rolled around, we decided to go with it not only for the competition’s sake, but also to raise a bit of awareness on the benefits of appreciating and taking care of the trees around us. Other than for aesthetic purposes, the values of these trees include:

Cleaning the air. Trees are often referred to as the “lungs of the planet” because of the oxygen they provide to other living things, and their ability to remove carbon particulates from the air.
Trees and Forests provide natural filtration and storage systems that process nearly two-thirds of the earth’s water supply.
Temperature Control. The shade and wind-breaking qualities that trees provide benefit everyone from an individual taking shelter from a hot summer day, to entire cities.
Wildlife Habitat. Wildlife use trees for food, shelter, nesting, and mating. These habitats support the incredible variety of living things on the planet, known as biodiversity. By protecting trees, we also save all the other plants and animals they shelter.
