Tomorrow, the Democratic Republic of Congo celebrates their independence. As serious fans of Kuba cloth (we even named a collection after it) which, originates from the Kuba people in the DRC, we had to take this opportunity to celebrate all things Kuba.

To make Kuba cloth, raffia-palm leaves are dyed with natural substances (e.g. plants) and hand-woven to create squares of textured cloths which each have various meanings. Because of the natural materials and handmade process, each square varies in size, pattern and colour, making each cloth unique.
