Africa 2018
Dubbed the most ambitious Africa 2018, the event featured 3 programs. They were Infrastructure, finance and energy; Young Entrepreneurs Day and a meeting of Women Empowering Africa. The meeting concluded with a Gala Dinner celebrating creative industries and honoring some outstanding African women.
Adele Dejak the Brand went to make an exclusive highlight African through the eyes of a perceptive, confident, bold and sophisticated woman. I have been designing jewellery focused on selling African to the whole world since 2008. Getting the invitation to exhibit at Africa 2018 She Designs Expo was a big honor for the brand and me.
Special Moments
We had a beautiful experience meeting up with friends, making new connections and interacting with some of the biggest names influencing Africa today. From Kenya, there were other iconic women in the fashion industry. Swaady Martin, Maria McCloy, Diarra Bousso, Anita Quansah, Hayet Kaminsky, Nelly Wandji and Hamamat Montia were also there on behalf of their countries and luxury brands.
Visitors
Many people from different parts of the world, came over to buy beautiful Africa-inspired jewellery or simply ogle whatever exclusive offer they could identify from display.
It was a busy day receiving guests at our stand but luckily, I was not there alone. The production supervisor for Adele Dejak The Brand –Kanini- was with me and so I got to slip away for a few moments. This was the perfect opportunity for me to visit other stands and take lots of pictures with friends new and old.
I also managed to visit some exclusive places that you should never leave Sharm El Sheikh without seeing.
Our hotel The Grand Rotana for one was the perfect place to relax after working hard all day. The pool beckoned me to take a dip. The idea of cool waters soothing my feet was attractive and so were the stunning views of towering palm trees and the sky beyond. I took my camera to explore different sights before it was time for the trip back home.
